Frequently Asked Questions
What is NekoSuneVR Avatars Search?
NekoSuneVR Avatars Search is a tool designed to help users find VRChat avatars quickly and easily. It searches for avatars using publicly available data without storing sensitive information.
What tools are used to store data?
We use an open-source project called VRC-Log to process avatar search queries. Our system stores avatar IDs on our server and marks them as pending. Our backend servers then scan these avatars, and if they are public, they will appear on the site. If they are private, they will never be shown. This process only works if users have VRC-LOG running.
Can someone rip avatars using this tool?
No, our system does not store any avatar files or associated assets. The tool only searches and displays publicly available metadata. No one will be able to rip avatars using NekoSuneVR Avatars Search.
What if I find a ripped or crasher avatar? How can I report it?
If you discover a ripped or crasher avatar, please report it to our Discord server for removal. However, note that we require proof and evidence of the violation. If reporting a crasher avatar, a video is necessary to demonstrate its impact. If reporting a ripped avatar, either a photo or video is acceptable. If submitting a video of a ripped avatar, it must include proof that the user admitted to ripping it or other supporting evidence.
What if all Nodes are Red? How can I report broken nodes?
If all nodes are red, it means they are not functioning correctly. Please report this issue to NekoSuneVR on VRC-LOG Issues, and they will restart the nodes to bring them back to green status.
How can I request to remove my avatar from search results?
If you believe an avatar listed on our site has been ripped or stolen, you may request its removal by logging into our website with your Discord account and submitting a report through the website.
If you link your VRChat account to the site, you can also choose to hide all of your avatars from public listings (except those that have been blacklisted through reports).
Please note:
- The blacklist is applied only through valid avatar reports.
- We do not run or maintain a Discord server for avatar-related support. Attempting to join any Discord server to resolve avatar issues is not permitted.
- If you have issues with our nodes, contact us directly through VRC-LOG.
Is there a VRChat world for searching avatars?
Currently, there is no dedicated VRChat world for searching avatars. However, we are working on one and seeking developers to help bring this feature to life. If you're interested in contributing, please reach out to us!
Where did the idea for World logging come from?
Credit to KitsuneDB for the original idea behind logging and caching VRChat worlds — something no one else had built a logger for before. Our world search, caching, and tracking system was built on that idea.
